Carlos Capparelli worked as executive chef of the Ottolenghi restaurant group in London before moving to Belfast recently. We're thrilled to be working with Carlos as he launches his pasta dishes, a welcome addition to Belfast's food scene.
A delicious veggie spicy Rose Harissa mushroom lasagne, layered with egg pasta and topped with béchamel sauce
Rose Harissa has a slow-burning chilli heat, balanced with sweet smokiness that adds real depth of flavour to any dish. The name Harissa comes from the Arabic harasa, meaning ‘to pound’ or ‘break into pieces'. It is not far from a straight translation of the Italian pestare, to 'pound' or 'crush' - which is where we get the word 'pesto' from.
Made with high quality ingredients, simply pop the lasagne in the oven for 45 minutes and you've got yourself a tasty meal with no additives and no fuss (and no dishes!)
This serves 2 people.
