Furikake is a Japanese seasoning usually sprinkled on cooked rice, veg, noodles.
Furikake usually has nori in it, which is a Japanese seaweed. However, Lorna wanted to use something found closer to home so this furikake has an Irish twist, using ground laver harvested in Co. Donegal.
Use this like you would salt and pepper. It’s spicy, crunchy, salty, nutty, earthy with a slight briny-ness from the seaweed.
